My one true enemy

Running!
I despise running almost as much as I despise...sour cream.  Now my entire family loves to run, somehow this little trait just skipped right over me. Not sure why? But today...I ran. Only about 1/2 mile...maybe less haha. I was so winded its embarrassing. Seriously. Plus running (unless you're already super fit) makes everything on your body jiggle. If you're super fit you just have muscles jiggling and that's just far more attractive than fat. It's true. Anyway, I am just desperately out of shape. And I had just started working out (Jillian Michaels...butt kicker) but then I got sick so I had to stop. But I am going to keep doing it, really! Also, running in the cold whilst the wind is just violently whipping right into your face makes it even less desirable than usual. Now for those of you who actually enjoy running (Mother) I'm sure the wind blowing is just a nice thing that "cools you down" Clearly I didn't run far enough...I was still cold but seriously I could not breath anymore! Sucking in air like I had just held my breath for 2 minutes. It's so embarrassing. But I hope to work my way up to a mile...then maybe...MAYBE 2. But I really don't care to ever run more than that at one time. I know you marathoners out there are just dying laughing right now but hey...not everyone is made with such durability! Alright I'm done now. Thanks for reading...or not reading. I feel better just typing out my running frustration :)

  1. I see you caught on to Anna's use of the word "whilst." :) But seriously I'm proud of you. Maybe you can send some of your motivation my way!

  2. Oh, Kels! I hear ya! Just getting geared up and out the door putting one foot in front of the other shows that you're going to get up to that 2 miles in no time! I know EXACTLY what you mean about running, though. That skipped right over me, too. When you line me up beside all my brothers and sisters-in-law, I'm sure it looks like, "WHAT happened here?!" So, yeah... there isn't ONE thing I like about running. I do LOVE to walk, though - and hope that counts for something (um... when it warms up in the 60s!) But, seriously, way to go! You're always working out one way or the other - at the gym or doing work out videos. You look great and you're staying healthy - and it even sounds like you're defeating your one true enemy!
