Lately I've been really trying to get my name out there for my photography "business". I can't technically call it a business I guess since legally it isn't, but I do love photography and I've done several weddings now along with family, senior and children sessions! I've also worked with www.livebeautifulphotography.com
I was the second photographer for her for several weddings and she has been the greatest mentor! I use Lightroom 3 to edit all of photos, and I shoot with a Nikon D3100. I'm hoping someday in the near future to upgrade my equipment but for now this does a great job. I've been learning a lot from http://www.lightroompresets.com/, she has a lot of great tutorials and wonderful presets and brushes as well! So if you're a photographer also and love Lightroom as much as I do, I would highly recommend Pretty Presets (aka lightroompresets.com) So I'll be shooting my next wedding in June and I am so excited! Brett's cousin is getting married and I'll be co-shooting the wedding with the bride's uncle- Micah Gummel, it should be a lot of fun! Also I just created a Facebook page if you want to check it out, I would be honored.
It's https://www.facebook.com/KelseyRudderPhotography
Thanks everyone!

Spaghetti with Garlic-Shrimp & Broccoli
Alright, I'm not the biggest shrimp fan. BUT, this is quite deelish! And if you're less of a shrimp fan than me then just substitute the shrimp with steak or chicken...those are always safe :) Alright here it is
Ingredients
Ingredients
1 lb spaghetti uncooked
4 c small broccoli florets
1/2 c of Good Seasonings Cheese Garlic salad dressing
1 lb uncooked, deveined peeled large shrimp
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 c Parmesan cheese
2 tsp Basil
2 tsp Oregano
1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper (opt)
Directions
COOK spaghetti in large saucepan as directed on package, omitting salt and adding broccoli to the cooking water for the last 2 min.
MEANWHILE, heat dressing in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add shrimp and garlic; cook and stir 3 to 4 min. or until shrimp turn pink.
DRAIN spaghetti mixture; return to pan. Add shrimp mixture and cheese; mix lightly then add seasonings!
So yep this is super fast, like 20 minutes or so for everything, and it's very yummy, If you want to make less pasta the original recipe calls for 1/2 lb but we a lot here at the Rudder apartment...what can I say :) Hope you enjoy!
This one just has the seasoning on it :)

Weddings!
I just wanted to post a few of the pictures I took at my friend's wedding. This was the first wedding I had done by myself and I was just a little nervous but I had so much fun and they loved the pictures! I have my next wedding in June, which I'm just as excited for :) Anyway, enjoy
My one true enemy
Running!
I despise running almost as much as I despise...sour cream. Now my entire family loves to run, somehow this little trait just skipped right over me. Not sure why? But today...I ran. Only about 1/2 mile...maybe less haha. I was so winded its embarrassing. Seriously. Plus running (unless you're already super fit) makes everything on your body jiggle. If you're super fit you just have muscles jiggling and that's just far more attractive than fat. It's true. Anyway, I am just desperately out of shape. And I had just started working out (Jillian Michaels...butt kicker) but then I got sick so I had to stop. But I am going to keep doing it, really! Also, running in the cold whilst the wind is just violently whipping right into your face makes it even less desirable than usual. Now for those of you who actually enjoy running (Mother) I'm sure the wind blowing is just a nice thing that "cools you down" Clearly I didn't run far enough...I was still cold but seriously I could not breath anymore! Sucking in air like I had just held my breath for 2 minutes. It's so embarrassing. But I hope to work my way up to a mile...then maybe...MAYBE 2. But I really don't care to ever run more than that at one time. I know you marathoners out there are just dying laughing right now but hey...not everyone is made with such durability! Alright I'm done now. Thanks for reading...or not reading. I feel better just typing out my running frustration :)

Red Lobsters Biscuits...Ya they taste just as good
So I found the recipe for Red Lobsters "Cheddar Bay Biscuits"! I cannot even tell you how yummy these cheesy, buttery, flaky chunks of goodness are! Seriously. So here's the recipe for those of you who are unfortunate enough to not already have this delightful little recipe.
Ingredients
2 1/2 c Bisquick baking mix
4 Tbs cold butter
1 c grated cheddar cheese
3/4 c cold whole milk
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Brush on top
2 tbs butter, melted
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp dried parsley flakes
1/8 tsp salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a medium mixing bowl, combine Bisquick and cold butter using a fork or pastry cutter. Don't combine too thoroughly. There should be small chunks of butter in your mixture. Mix in cheese, milk and garlic powder by hand, only until combined. Drop 1/4 cup portions onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown. After they finish baking remove the biscuits from the oven. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, garlic powder, parsley and salt. Brush all of the garlic butter on top of the biscuits, making sure to use all of it.
So yes when you make your next meal...try these. They are super quick to make too! And you can have them as a side with anything. Tonight we ate turkey, ham and cheese sandwiches...and I made these to go with it. Who cares! Side note: I had to miss my first day of work : / I still feel really bad! I had a migraine and I basically don't function when I get these. Sighh I actually enjoy work, hopefully they aren't thinking that I'm some kind of hypochondriac who just thinks she doesn't feel good. I'm really not like that! I promise. I guess I feel the need to tell all of you because I can't really blab on and on about this to my boss haha. Anyway. Oh also..just dropped the car off for inspection...those are typically not expensive for me. Welllll it was this time!! Cripes! I'm gonna buy a horse. They don't have to be inspected. I guess if we're not allowed to have cats or dogs at the apartment we probably aren't allowed to have horses either. Maybe I can tell the landlord that I'm Amish...or Menonite? Is that how you even spell that? I have no idea. Ok anyway just go make the biscuits :)

Blessed
Tomorrow we are heading up to Cox Road to visit my family! We haven't been back there since Christmas so I'm excited to see everyone again! My parents and sisters were just up in February but it's been a few months since I've seen my grandparents and aunts and uncles..and cousins! I miss them all like crazy! I'm also going shopping with Jenna, I haven't seen her in months either, nor have I been shopping in months- So pumped! Then I get to hang out with my best bud Anna! I think overall it should be a wonderful weekend. But Monday starts the real fun- I'm starting my job! I am so grateful that I finally found a job and I think it'll be one that I really enjoy! We'll see how I handle trying to clean, make dinner and work...I haven't had to do that yet but I figure pretty much every woman does it so i should be able to handle it :) Oh also...Assassins Creed 4 is coming out haha Brett is so excited! (So am I) Oh! And we finally have the internet!! After six months without it! Ya I'm actually sitting in my apartment typing this...not the library :) I feel so high tech lol Well it's time to do dishes and make some sugar cookies! Yummy!
